Why does my device drift when it is resting?
Our device uses GPS and base station positioning (AGPS) mode. The accuracy of GPS and base station positioning technology is in a range of 10 meters and about 100 meters respectively. Thus, in the range of positioning accuracy, it happens to be some errors which lead to drift. However, that has little effect on the usage of the function of the device, because this device uses GPS in most cases.
Why does it have some difference between the client displaying position and real position sometimes?
Both phones and devices use GPS and base station positioning (AGPS) mode. The accuracy of GPS and base station positioning technology is in a range of 10 meters and about 100 meters respectively. Thus, it happens to be some error in the range of accurate positioning. That leads to the difference between the client displaying and real position. However, that has little effect on the usage of the function of the device, because the error of the distance is too trivial.
Does it have any effect on vehicle with the detection OBD port to charge?
Of course not. The OBD interface is the global standardized external tapping in carried vehicle, like USB interface in the computer. CAPCARE device is in strict accordance with the international standard OBD interface implementation during the process of design and production, and the interface of each device has been strictly tested before delivery to ensure each of them in accordance with the OBD international standard, so it has no impact on the vehicle.
How long can I save my operational trace?
The trace of your device will be automatically uploaded to the network server of CAPCARE. We will provide permanent preservative services for users who buy during promotion period at present.
Will the information of my device be seen by others?
Absolutely not, you need to enter the imei number wehn you add the device. Every device has a unique imei number which is fifteen, which can effectively protect the device number from being copied and calculated. The user only needs to protect the imei number from leakage, so that it can prevent others from seeing the information of the device.
Can you make sure my data uploaded to the server safe? Whether my personal information will be leaked?
We Capecare attach great importance to user's personal information security. We take encryption process to uploaded data from devices, and at the same time we set strict firewall protection to data so that we can make sure that user's data won't be disclosed.
If I use this product, how much data is it consumed? How much does it cost?
The Capcare Client consumes data when it gets the device data and downloads map. The user can save the frequently used city map with the off-map function and greatly reduce the data consumption. The data transmission only consumes slight data. It costs 5M data per month with normal usage. We advice the user to use package of data traffic provided by telecom operators to save the consumption.
What do I need to do after I bought the product? Will it be OK to use it directly?
You need to prepare a SIM card，i.e. a GSM mobile card from China Mobile/China Unicom/local telecom carrier company. This card needs to have GRPS CMNET function, e.g. it's OK with 5 yuan 30M per month data package (attention: it is cmnet surfing mode). If you can get such card, it only costs five yuan per month. The card without month rent is the best; it will save a sum of money after one year.
Why does it display the previous location when the car is driving off?
The cause of this phenomenon is that there is no new location information uploaded to the monitoring platform. It still displays the previous location. It's related to the signal condition of the environment of the vehicle, and the position of the locator. It would be hard to search the satellite signal if installation environment was too closed. If it happens too many times, we advice you adjust the installation position. If this problem still occurs in the open air, please contact the customer service.
Why does it not return information when you send the command to the locator by mobile phone?
It may be caused by the following factors: 1. Locator has no mobile phone signal or it powered off. Please dial the phone number of the locator, and check whether there is a voice of connected telephone. 2. Check whether your SIM launch message service. 3. Check whether there are too many messages stored in your phone card.4. Maybe the delay of SMS gateway
Why doesn't the statistical data of operation match up to that of the actual situation? Why doesn't mileage statistic data match up to that of the actual mileage?
Operational statistic function on the monitoring platform is based on location information uploaded to the monitoring platform to count. Position information of locator may be restricted by signal, environment, fault and other factors. In other words, if the locator is off-line or not positioning, or has no accurate location data, there maybe exist some errors in the operational data. Thus, the operational statistic data on the monitoring platform is only as a reference.
